About Watt Weekender

Watt Weekender helps people choose portable power stations and solar generators for home backup and camping. We compare models using manufacturer specifications, public energy data, and plain watt-hour math, so you can figure out what will actually run your fridge, CPAP, router, or campsite before you spend a thousand dollars.

Who’s behind it

Watt Weekender is run by Freedom Empowering Capital Management LLC, a Colorado business owned by Zach Huffsmith.

Zach started the site for two reasons: to help make the world a more sustainable place, and to make it a safer place for his kids. Reliable backup power that doesn’t depend on a gas generator serves both. It keeps a family’s essentials running through an outage, and it pairs naturally with solar.

The site is built and maintained with help from Affiliateking AI, an AI tool for creating affiliate content. Every article is reviewed against the manufacturers’ own published specs before it goes live.

How we research

We do:

• Pull capacity, output, weight, cycle life, and temperature ranges from official product pages and manuals, and link to them
• Cite public sources (for example, ENERGY STAR data for fridge energy use)
• Mark anything we couldn’t verify as “check manufacturer page”
• Disclose affiliate relationships near the top of every article that contains affiliate links

We don’t:

• Claim hands-on lab testing we haven’t done
• Invent prices, runtimes, quotes, or star ratings
• Accept payment for positive reviews
